How is it October?

The good news is that Collingwood won the Premiership yesterday. Daniel and I watched the Grand Final yesterday, and it was a nail-biter. For my friends outside Australia, the Grand Final is like the Super Bowl, but without the ads and glitzy half time show.
The not-so-good news is that I am exhausted today. I don't mean tired, I mean I am having so much trouble with simple movements. It's strange, because I can move my hands but didn't have the strength to put a light blanket on me. I got out of bed, but only because one of our cats barfed on it and Daniel had to wash the bedding. Luckily Starbuck barfed next to me rather than directly on me.
Once I got out of bed at 2pm, I felt hungry. Daniel brought me a muffin. That was whe I discovered that I couldn't chew. I could bring the food to my mouth, but taking a bite, chewing, and swallowing was more than I could manage. It was scary and depressing. Daniel got a protein drink for me instead, which was easier for me to manage. So now I'll be looking into vegan nutritional shakes.
My doctor wanted me to lose weight, so I changed some habits and counted calories and dropped 10% of my weight. Then my doctor wanted me to watch how much weight I lost in case I started losing too much muscle. Then she calculated by BMI and decided I'm still overweight. Duh, I can't exercise and can hardly move. So here I am, overweight, losing weight, and having difficulty eating.
The point of sharing this isn't to get pity, it's because Myalgic Encephalomyelitis is serious. Please don't call it chronic fatigue syndrome, that belittles what people go through. A nap won't help this kind of fatigue, this is disabling.
