American Thanksgiving has passed, which means it is now officially Christmas. Now I can finally start watching all of my Christmas movies again.
I've noticed that the weather affects how I feel. My rheumatologist said it has to do with barometric pressure. When it warmed up I felt a bit better, and yesterday and today's rain and thunderstorms knocked me out. I don't know what affect the heat we're meant to get this summer will have, but I hope it won't be bad.
I've also noticed that when I feel a bit better, I cook. I have never been a fancy cook, but I do love to make meals. In the past week I made 3 meals and a pie, it was wonderful. I take more shortcuts now, like buying pre-chopped veggies and using the food processor more often.
Now I just need to finish Christmas shopping, and hope that I can get our cards filled out and sent. While I would love to bake Christmas cookies, I don't think I'll be up to it. But I did buy a vegan gingerbread house to assemble and decorate, and I got a chocolate advent calendar. Hopefully we'll be able to decorate our living room and possibly put up our tree. Fingers crossed! Both Daniel and I are really trying to pace ourselves, so we have to be realistic about what we plan.
